McCalla began working with animals as a teenager, teaching children how to ride horses at Bar-L Ranch in Guthrie Center, IA. While in college, she began cat sitting to make some extra cash and upon graduating, decided to keep her side gig, because furballs am I right?? After long stints in restaurant and non-profit management she realized she needed a change. She then decided to combine her acumen for management and passion for animals into a business of her very own… Walk. Sit. Stay. was born. When she’s not petting the fuzzy bellies of Beantown you can find McCalla hiking up a mountain or cuddling on the couch with her cat, Samba.
